Giving to the Community through Salmon Creek Church
"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing."
—Malachi 3:10 NRSV
Your faithful giving serves the community through
• empowering kids and adults with growth and leadership opportunities
• working for justice in Greater Vancouver by connecting the poor with food and services
• faithfully proclaiming God's Word of hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ, here and abroad
Automatic giving is the easiest way to give, and it helps sustain our community ministries during inclement weather.
Or you can make a one-time gift at our secure giving site.
2. On Sunday
If you prefer to give during a worship service, we have a time of giving when we gather to praise God.
Why is this part of Sunday worship? Simple: God gave us the gift of hope in Jesus Christ, so we celebrate by sharing his hope with the community through our finances.

How You Can Support Our Common Work Together
• General Operating Fund
The "common purse" that sustains our general ministry to the community and the world. For example: the General Fund helps maintain the campus as a place of hospitality and worship; empowers our ministries of education, praise, and mission; supports our staff for their work; and sustains our connection to the worldwide United Methodist Church through our annual apportionment giving to the UMC.
• "Good Sam" (Samaritan) Fund
Luke's Gospel (10:25-37) tells the story of a Samaritan man who was moved with deep compassion for someone in need. The "Good Sam" Fund allows us to practice hospitality to those who come through our doors looking for help, providing assistance with food, shelter, transportation, or other basic needs as we can.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. Its work reaches to more than 80 countries, including the United States. To learn more, please visit umcor.org.
