Salmon Creek Church families strive to reach those in our community and the world who need both practical help of food, clothing and shelter and a friendly, accepting smile of friendship and concern. Some of the ways we support the community around us...
Food Pantry
Good Samaritan Fund
United Methodist Church
Salmon Creek's outreach extends around the world through our United Methodist Church connection.
UMCOR Mission Relief
United Methodist Committee on Relief - aiding refugees, providing emergency relief, confronting world hunger and poverty, helping heal in more than 100 countries.
Christmas Families
Each year we display a "Sharing Tree" where we display "ornaments" representing food and gift needs of several families we have adopted. Members of our congregation support these families by purchasing the items represented on the ornament. These Christmas baskets are delivered to our adopted families with warm Christmas cheer the week before Christmas.
Some of the other ministries we lift up through our prayers, our time, and our financial support...
Friends of the Carpenter
This is a ministry of building positive and productive relationships between the poor and homeless in the Community of Christ. Through a safe and supervised activity of simple wood craft, people experience "sanctuary" where everyone is welcome, accepted and respected. Through caring friendships, God's love is the glue that fits us together and builds up the church and the Body of Christ.
